In the Good Ol Summertime!

Geez, where have I been for the last 5 months?!? It's Summer already, granted, still early Summer, but we're already seeing things come to fruition. The Summer flowers are in full bloom, some fruits have made their appearance and the bees are pollinating every little thing they can find.  Ahhh, fresh honey, that golden elixir that never goes bad, or expires and makes my favorite beverage.....mead!

But I digress, the summer solstice has already past, and believe it or not, the days area starting to get shorter. Of course most won't notice because, well, they're busy doing summer activities, going to the beach, cooking out, vacations, etc. The sun is all important, it is a life source we can not live without and is critical for our mental health as well as our physical.
When we bask in its glow, it makes us feel we can overcome anything and everything.

Yes, I am talking about the sun wheel rune, Sowilo.
Sowilo gives counsel that having dealt with the challenges that you have been working through, you are now strong enough to overcome them and experience the victory that has eluded you.
Like the sun at high noon, nothing is in shadow, and all is illuminated. The question here is have you been "blinded by the light"? When we turn our eyes to the sun, even with them closed, the light is strong enough that when we lower ours heads back and open our eye, we have that temporary blindness that can keep us from moving forward.

While Sowilo is the most positive rune in the system, we all know too much of a good thing can still cause challenges (think sunburn). I know many of you follow my Facebook group, Have You RUNED Your Day Yet? and even do your own daily draws. So what I'm seeing here, is that those of you who have been going through your "sunburns", you are now experiencing healing and recovery, overcoming the challenges and blockages. Look to this rune as a positive booster to your own if you draw it. If you don't, then run with the good fortune and positive energy that is surrounding you.

Find outdoor activities that not just keep you "busy", but also engaged and interested. Summer is a great time to expand your connection to the full beauty of nature in all its glory.

Thank you for your patience and continued support of this blog, though the posts are few, I appreciate the opportunity to share with you all.
